Van Halen is an influential band of hard rock and heavy metal formed in Pasadena, California, in 1972. Founded by brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen, the classic line up included vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony. With albums iconic as "Van Halen" and "1984", the band was noted for the innovative guitar of Eddie Van Halen. Throughout their career, they have sold more than 80 million records around the world. After changes in the formation, Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone were also vocalists of the band. Despite of ups and downs, Van Halen remains a reference in the history of rock.
